It All Started Here is a speciality coffee shop based in Shawlands, Glasgow. We are a true multi-roaster, changing coffees every week, and we aim to serve coffees with bold and interesting flavour profiles.
We have a small roster of roasters who you’ll see on the bar fairly regularly – including Square Mile, Campbell & Syme, Craft House Coffee and Round Hill – but we’re always on the lookout for new roasters to work with. At a rough count, we’ve served coffee from over 30 roasters since opening.
We also keep a selection of retail coffee to brew at home – we usually have a selection from at least four roasters including Has Bean, Workshop, Crankhouse Coffee, Dark Arts and Thomsons, plus whatever coffee we are brewing that week.
We started life as a pop-up operating at events throughout central Scotland. Our regular slots were at Partick Farmer’s Market and Bakery47. After a couple of years doing popups, we moved into our home on Deanston Drive in April 2017.
It’s important that anyone we work with shares our focus on quality and ensuring a fair deal for everyone in the supply chain. The farmers who produce the coffee deserve to be rewarded for their effort.
Our aim is to serve unique coffee, prepared with care, that will provide new, exciting and sometimes challenging experiences.
